and a Practice Party. During the Evaluation, your instructor will give
you a tour of our studio, show you how easy learning to dance can be, determine
your current level and after finding out your specific goals, recommend
an appropriate course for you to continue on. Again, with no cost or obligation.

Private Lessons:
Working individually with your own instructor is the fastest and most
thorough way to learn. Private lessons are 40-45 minutes of professional
attention given to your specific dance needs. Your instructor will patiently
cover the technique, styling, general dance skills and lead/follow necessary
to help you achieve your goals in dancing. These lessons are scheduled
at your convenience Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. or by
appointment on Saturdays. The most economical way is to progress is with
the Free Intro Package, the Orientation Package, the Foundation Package
and then on to one of our Custom Tailored Accelerated Packages.
Group Lessons:
Group Lessons are an important compliment to your private instruction.
They are a controlled environment designed to prepare you for parties and
other social situations by giving you the opportunity to dance with a variety
of partners, practice your patterns, develop good dance habits, and meet
other students in the studio. These classes are scheduled in the evenings
at 7:45 and 8:30 pm.
Practice Parties:
We hold weekly practice parties for all our students. You will have fun
dancing in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Parties give you the
opportunity to practice and try out all the new dance skills that you've
learned in your Private and Group Lessons.
Private Groups:
If you have a group (min of 3 and a max of 12) that has a specific goal,
requires certain time slots or just wants to learn together, this is the

the package that suits your goal to ensure your friends and family will

Tuition varies depending on a number of factors: How good you want to
be, what dances you want to learn, and your timeline. But for now YOUR
FIRST LESSON IS FREE. After that, your instructor will be able to recommend
a program and answer any questions, so you will have the knowledge to make
an informed choice.
How Do I Book a Lesson?
All lessons are scheduled
through the studio in person, or by calling 859-266-3966.
Private lessons are paid for in advance in order to guarantee
an appointment and to reserve
the teacher's time. A private lesson cannot be scheduled
unless the student is formally enrolled in a program and
the lesson is pre-paid.

running Teacher Training seminars, judging competitions, choreographing

We will try to accommodate
requests if reasonable, but since some of our instructors specialize
in certain areas or specific dances, our Dance Director uses his experienced
judgment to match the student with the most suited instructor employed
by FCDC.
And to continually ensure the student receives the best instruction possible,
it might not be the same teacher for every lesson.

What Do I Wear?
Most people like to wear comfortable
clothing, such as casual work clothes-slacks, blouses, Dockers, polo shirts,
etc. We recommend that you wear clothing that is cool and you can move easily
in. For shoes, it's best not to wear anything with rubber soles, such as
tennis shoes, as they do not glide easily on the floor. The best shoes to
wear are leather or suede-soled shoes. Please check your heels for wear,
especially women's shoes. Heels with protruding nails or tacks can seriously
damage wooden floors. If you are interested we provide shoes to our students
at wholesale cost.
